Make Along with Jessica: How to make a card using the Floral Celebrations Stamps

Posted by Andrew Welch on

Sorry I’ve been awol for a little while sometimes life just gets in the way – I’ve been so busy !!

I have some exciting news … we’ve added a lovely little puppy into our lives and she loves to join in my crafts ! This weeks post features the most recent launch from Craft Buddy UK.

The floral celebrations crystal art stamps ✨ On this weeks blog post I’m going to do a Step-By-Step guide of how to make my favourite card ♥️

Supplies you’ll need for this creation are:

  • Floral Fizz Crystal Art A6 stamp set
  • Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Stamping block or stamping press
  • Stamping card
  • Craft knife or scissors
  • Double sided tape
  • Gem pens
  • Magic glue
  • Tartan Check stencil
  • Memento Rhubarb Stalk
  • Memento Rich Cocoa
  • Gems
  • Foam pads

Start off by stamping two of the champagne flutes side by side onto stamping card using memento tuxedo black.

Then proceed to cut them out using either a craft knife or scissors depending on what your most comfortable with.

Once you’ve completed this step it’s now time to add some colour to your project. My favourite thing about stamping is that the colours can be made to suit whatever your taste or the occasion you are creating the design for. My colour scheme for this one was red / Burgundy.

Once coloured, position the glasses how you want them to be. Attach together using double sided tape. Then brush over with magic glue.

Whilst the magic glue is drying (it takes about 15-20 minutes depending on how much you apply). By dry I mean go tacky 😆 Once it’s tacky it’s ready to apply the gems and it will remain tacky until gems are applied or it’s sealed !

Let’s create the background for the card, Here I’ve used the ‘Tartan Check’ stencil with the memento Rhubarb stalk ink. Applying varying amounts of pressure to create a textured piece.

Stamp the sentiment to the top right hand corner using rich cocoa memento ink.

The cardblank for this card is 8” x 4”, the tartan background should be cut down to 7 5/8” x 3 5/8”. Add the background to the card blank using double sided tape. Add the flute topper using foam pads.

Now it’s time for the transformation ! Time to add the gems 💎

I hope you enjoyed this post and certainly hope you found it useful !

Catch you again soon
